Job Description:
We are currently looking to recruit an Identity & Access Management Analyst to work within one of our prestigious institutes based near Russell Square. This is a full time temporary contract for 3 months with a possibility of being extended.
 
Role:
 

As an IAM Analyst, you will help support the day-to-dayoperations and enhancement of the University’s Identity Management service. TheIAM Service currently provisions user accounts for students on University ofLondon distance learning programmes and is being actively extended to coveraccount provisioning and management for staff and students in other Universitydepartments and institutes.

 

We are looking for a capable analyst who will haveexperience supporting complex operational systems, ideally in the Identity& Access Management arena. The successful candidate must demonstrate theability to investigate and problem solve issues in a technical environment; followprocedures for resolution of user requests and enquiries; implement technicalsolutions following established change management processes.

 

The following technologies are used in the IAM Service, andexperience using them will be a distinct advantage:

-         Microsoft Identity Manager 2016 (or FIM 2012 R2)

-         Microsoft SQL Server

-         Microsoft Visual Studio

-         Development in C#.NET and VB.NET

-         Active Directory

-         Software IDM Identity Panel

 

Additionally, familiarity with concepts related to IAM bestpractice, such as role-based access control, authentication and authorisationprinciples, multi-factor authentication are desirable. An understanding of theimportance of data privacy and the appropriate management of personal data isessential.

Understanding of SQL and relational database concepts

Experience with database development (ideally SQL Server 2014 of higher)
Experience in creating DB triggers, stored procedures, functions, indexes
Experience performance tuning queries in SQL Server
 
Programming and Development:

Experience with application development concepts & programming languages
Experience Debugging code and building projects and solutions
Desirable
Experience with VB.Net or C#.Net in Visual Studio (2013 of higher)
Source control e.g. via GitHub
Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, or rules-based scripting engines)
 
Identity & Access Management

Understanding of basic principles of IAM
Understanding processes for managing personal data

Understanding of the benefits of Role-based access control
Understanding the benefits of automated Joiners, Movers & Leavers processes
Understanding processes for managing unique personal identities
Authentication and Authorisation principles
Understanding of credentials/password management processes 
 
Active Directory and LDAP

Experience managing Active Directory
Experience with LDAP including writing LDAP queries
 
IAM Technologies

Basic Windows Server operations (2012 or higher)

Operations of MIM Portal, Sync Service Manager
Modifying MIM configuration
Writing MIM extension code
 
Working Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
 
Rate of pay is £19.62 per hour plus holiday pay. (£35,807 equivalent)
