We are currently looking to recruit an Identity & Access Management Developer to work within one of our prestigious institutes based near Russell Square. This is a full time temporary contract for 3 months.
As IAM Developer, you will help deliver the next phases ofthe University’s Identity Management service. The IAM Service currentlyprovisions user accounts for students on University of London distance learningprogrammes and is being actively extended to cover account provisioning andmanagement for staff and students in other University departments andinstitutes.
We are looking for an experienced developer with experiencein Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft C# and/or VB.NET development, ideally inthe Identity & Access Management arena. The successful candidate mustdemonstrate the ability at adapt quickly to an existing development plan anddeliver components according to design principles and processes used by the IAMService.
The following technologies are used in the IAM Service, andexperience developing against them will be a distinct advantage:
- Microsoft Identity Manager 2016 (or FIM 2012 R2),including rules extensions and extension code.
- Microsoft SQL Server, including performancetuning.
- Microsoft Visual Studio using C#.NET and VB.NET.
- Active Directory and LDAP queries.
- Software IDM Identity Panel.
Additionally, familiarity with concepts related to IAM bestpractice, such as role-based access control, authentication and authorisationprinciples, multi-factor authentication are desirable. An understanding of theimportance of data privacy and the appropriate management of personal data isessential.
Experience with database development (ideally SQL Server 2014 of higher)
Experience in creating DB triggers, stored procedures, functions, indexes
Experience performance tuning queries in SQL Server
Programming and Development:
Experience with VB.Net or C#.Net in Visual Studio (2013 of higher)
Experience Debugging code and building projects and solutions
Source control e.g. via GitHub
Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, or rules-based scripting engines)
Identity & Access Management:
Understanding of basic principles of IAM
Understanding processes for managing personal data
Authentication and Authorisation principles
Understanding of the benefits of Role-based access control
Understanding of the benefits of automated Joiners, Movers and Leavers processes
Understanding processes for managing unique personal identities
Understanding of credentials/password management processes
Active Directory and LDAP
Experience managing Active Directory
Experience with LDAP including writing LDAP queries
Basic Windows Server operations (2012 or higher)
Experience with Microsoft Identity Manager (2016 or FIM 2012 R2)
Operations of MIM Portal, Sync Service Manager
Modifying MIM configuration
Writing MIM extension code
Working Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm.
Rate of pay is £24.31 per hour plus holiday pay. (£44,363 equivalent)
