We are currently recruiting for a Fair Assistant to work for one of our prestigious clients. This is a temporary position needed to work 2 separate days. This event will be taking place at Olympia.
You will need to be very hands-on in making sure the fair runs smoothly. To just generally be quite positive, smiley and are willing to help. Confident with answering general queries and giving directions as some will be based front of house and in the main halls. A few of them will be managing the talks and queues outside the talks rooms so they mustn’t be afraid to show a bit of authority if they need to (apart from parents and teachers, visitors will be 17-18 year old college students).
Roles will be mixed around a bit but include:
Being based on the Information/ organisers desk: greeting visitors and answering general questions
Visitor direction/ exhibitor helpers
Talks assistant: counting attendance numbers to each talk, helping speakers set up, ensuring talks run with time scheduled
Queue manager: managing the queue outside Wolfson Room IHR which is in the north block of Senate House
Working hours: Need to be available for 2 days. Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th June
Pay rate: £10.55 per hour plus holiday pay
