An exciting opportunity has arisen at a central London-based executive search firm for a graduate to join the team as Finance Administrator intern on a 3-6 month full-time, paid internship.
This is a full time role starting asap in January 2017, so all applicants must be available on these terms.
Our client recruits candidates for senior positions across a wide range of businesses; their specialist areas are Finance, Retail & Consumer and the Public Sector. Their growing client list includes the likes of HSBC, Burberry and Selfridges and you will be joining the team during an exciting period of growth.
The role involves working with the Finance team to process a large number of contractor timesheets submitted to an online portal (ETZ), raising sales invoices and support the bi-monthly contractor payrun by accurately processing contractor invoices and expenses claims.
Contribution and Performance:
Large volume of data capturing of source documents for billing requirements (i.e. timesheets, expense forms and invoices)
Checking all of the above carefully for discrepancies, involving basic reconciliation and queries resolution
PO tracking on Excel spreadsheets and active use of the Sage 200 accounting program
Developing and maintaining relationships, both by phone and e-mail), with Clients, Umbrella Agencies, Contractors Consultants and Staff on a daily basis in order to provide an efficient service.
Create and send out client invoices quoting correct PO numbers and through the appropriate channel.
Assisting with the contractor payrun process and ensuring accuracy and completeness of invoices due.
Provides full administrative support to the Finance Department
Analyse revenue figures as and when required as well as ad-hoc reporting.
Communicate timetables and deadlines as required to ensure efficient processing
Assist managers, communicate compliance issues and resolve contractor’s queries Communicate with offsite managers on business issues as they arise, escalates decision making to manager when appropriate
Completes tasks to the required quality standards and on time
Ideally they would like individuals who have some experience of working in a finance department and have relevant related degree/masters. They need to have an extremely high level of attention to detail and an excellent work ethic.
They also need to have a can do attitude, the ability to think for themselves and a desire to learn and progress.
Other key requirements include:
• Finance related degree – Accounting, Finance, Business
• Excellent written and communication skills
• An excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• An excellent work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
• Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage workload
Interns will receive an allowance of £252 per week
