Job title: Project Officer – Gateway & Welfare Contracts & Commissioning – London Borough of Croydon
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a six month Graduate Internships, working as a Project Officer in the Gateway & Welfare Contracts & Commissioning service in Croydon Council. Gateway & Welfare is a new division set up to support individuals and families affected by Welfare Reform, and provide a holistic approach to finding sustainable solution to people having financial and housing stability. The opportunity is to help support the delivery of innovative cross-organisation projects to provide housing solutions for rough sleepers.

The council has commissioned a significant number of partners to delivery services across Croydon, and are looking for creative solutions to address rough sleeping, such as the creation of an all year shelter. We are looking to recruit a professional, enthusiastic and hardworking Project Officer to support this work.
The roles have no limits on the level of involvement and ownership the successful candidate would be able to achieve, so would suit people with commitment, enthusiasm, flexibility, ability to learn quickly and with an abundance of talent. You will be working alongside the Gateway & Welfare Contract & Commissioning Manager and our delivery partners, providing an excellent opportunity to develop business change skills for the public sector. The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a strong project skills. Work experience in projects or partnership working is desirable.
